Yesterday was the Yellow Rose 5K in Warroad, Minnesota. One of my favorite 5Ks.
It's hard to tell from this photo, but there are about 200 of us running and walking. Ready... set... go!
Feeling ok after the first 1/4 mile.
Pastor Brian coming in at 27:55.
I couldn't quite catch Blair and this little girl.
Finally, at 31:18, I finished. Yes, I'm just as tired as I look.

Stomp Out Cancer 5K Walk/Run
Today was the Stomp Out Cancer 5K. With the cold and rain, it was a tough week to prepare for it. I had to work out on a treadmill - I hate treadmills.
Here I'm getting some water at about the one mile mark.
It was all I could do to beat Anton. (I think he's about 5 years old.)
I managed to eek out second place among the old people!

LifeCare Walk/Run for Diabetes
The LifeCare 5K took place last Saturday. This one is always tough because it's so early in the season. Nobody expects to do well and few do. The weather was unbelievably beautiful - some would say too hot. I got a time of 32:02 - actually better than I expected to do.
The donations for Running Every Street are encouraging $322.50 so far!

Year Four!
The fourth year of Running Every Street has begun! We're running every street of Roseau, Minnesota - about 90 miles. We're raising money for Living Hope Ministries to help inner city kids in Northeast Minneapolis have day camps, go to retreats, go on missions trips, etc. This year we're adding another element - every day I run I'll be praying for one of the young people involved in the ministry.
I invite you to join me. Perhaps you'd like to pledge a certain amount for every mile I run. Perhaps you'd like to join me in praying for the same person I'm praying for on the days I run. Perhaps you can pray for my health throughout this period - it seems like new issues threaten to end my running every year. (Also, I wouldn't discourage anyone who'd like to do the same thing: run every street.)
