A local Mountain Bike Club has created and maintains 6.5 miles of single track mountain bike trails in the Roseau East Diversion Greenway. The "Mount Roseau" trail provides flat and hilly terrain for both novice and experienced trail riders. The Mount Roseau trailhead is located directly east of the Roseau City Park on the north side of the County Road 24 bridge.
When you come to the fork in the road, you will have three options:
If you're a 61-year-old, gray-haired, grandpa, I recommend option 3 - turn around, go straight home, sit in the recliner, and watch videos of silly people doing silly things. On the other hand, if you're a silly old man who doesn't know any better, go ahead - try the 3.7 mile route.
This is what you're in for:
If you look carefully at this aerial view, you'll notice dozens of winding trails in what looks like a maze. Once you begin riding, you'll feel like a rat running through a maze with no escape. Yes, you're trapped. You've got to ride the full 3.7 miles, left and right, up and down, to the bitter end.
Yes, I said left and right:
...and, yes, I said up and down:
I heard one old guy say it reminded him of riding the Badlands of North Dakota!
If you're lucky, you may see another glutton for punishment:
...or a crop-duster under a full moon:
... or some wispy clouds floating over the trees:
Any questions?
