Yesterday was the Bemidji Blue Ox.
The sun was shining, but it was only 45 degrees. Of the 260 runners, I'm pretty sure I was the only one in short sleeves.
With the cool weather, my lowest weight of the season, and a couple good workouts this week, I felt I was in a good position to achieve my goal of 30 minutes.
My photographer got a couple pictures of me approaching the finish line:
As it turns out, I achieved my goal - 29:56!

I met a 74-year-old gentleman from Perham named Jerry who ran the 5K in 27:00 minutes! So now I have a new goal - to do the same when I'm 74...
